Coming from I-81 in Tennesse

  1. Take exit 57B and merge onto US-23N toward Kingsport.
  2. Drive US-23N about 44½ miles.
  3. Take Big Stone Gap exit #1 (US-23-BR N/US 58 Alt) toward Big Stone Gap.
  4. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Gilley Ave. E.
  5. Drive 1 mile and turn right at the stop light onto E 5th Street S.
  6. Drive 2 miles and turn left at stop light #5 onto Wood Ave. E.
  7. Drive 1 mile and turn left into the campground entrance.

Coming from I-81 in Virginia

  1. Take exit #17 toward Abingdon/South Holston Dam.
  2. Turn right onto US-58 ALT/VA75 Cummings St. SW.
  3. Turn left at the Main Street stop light onto US-58 ALT/US-11/Lee Hwy.
  4. Turn right at the stoplight before the railroad overpass onto US-58 ALT/US-11N toward Hansonville.
  5. Drive approximately 13 miles and turn left after the Hansonville roadside flashing lights, following US-58 Alt toward St. Paul and Norton.
  6. In Norton turn right after passing under the overpass onto US-58 Alt W/ US 23 going toward Big Stone Gap.
  7. Take Big Stone Gap exit #1 (the second Big Stone Gap exit you approach) toward Big Stone Gap.
  8. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Gilley Ave. E.
  9. Drive 1 mile and turn right at the stop light onto E 5th Street S.
  10. Drive 2 miles and turn left at stop light #5 onto Wood Ave. E.
  11. Drive 1 mile and turn left into the campground entrance.

Coming from Bluefield, WV

  1. Follow US-19 S to Lebanon, VA.
  2. Drive ~7 miles past the second Lebanon exit to the flashing roadside lights.
  3. Turn left onto US-58 Alt. W toward St. Paul and Norton.
  4. In Norton turn right after passing under the overpass onto US-58 Alt W/ US 23 going toward Big Stone Gap.
  5. Take Big Stone Gap exit #1 (the second Big Stone Gap exit you approach) toward Big Stone Gap.
  6. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Gilley Ave. E.
  7. Drive 1 mile and turn right at the stop light onto E 5th Street S.
  8. Drive 2 miles and turn left at stop light #5 onto Wood Ave. E.
  9. Drive 1 mile and turn left into the campground entrance.
